JESUS: I have great pain in my knee due to a worn out miniscus. The pain is 24/7. Since starting my treatment at Crossroads the pain has diminished a lot, making my daily walking easier to handle with less pain, if any! I am really thankful to a friend of mine, Carla for recommending Crossroads Acupuncture.
FRED: Where traditional medicine has failed me drastically, Crossroads has given me major relief from neuropathy, spasms, pain, skin problems, anxiety, depression and chronic neck and back pain. Along with all the benefits, the environment and professionalism of the staff highly exceeds anything I have ever experienced in a medical facility, especially the V.A. I highly recommend even the mildest of treatments for veterans! We need this to go “viral” within the veteran’s community! Thank you, I look forward to many years of hiking thanks to you!
BOB: “I had severe prostatitis, and I was hardly functional. The pain progressed during the day, and I would generally take a sleeping pill at about 7:00 PM simply because I could not stand it anymore. I came to Ryan’s acupuncture in a lot of pain and full of skepticism. Fortunately, belief in the process is not required. After about three weeks, I was still in pain, but I had a lot more energy. Over the course of the next several weeks, the pain gradually receded, and I got back to living my life as usual.”
ROBERT: “I came to Crossroads Community Acupuncture in the hope of helping a headache I had suffered with since 1989 and problems with my back since 1977. I had tried all the regular ways to get pain relief but they all came up short. Now I am 6-7 weeks into treatment at
Since my health insurance does not cover acupuncture, the very reasonable cost of treatment is a plus that is very helpful when times are tight and you can pay whatever you can afford from $16 to $41 and I appreciate the fact that there is no time limit spent on each session. One of the main benefits that I experience, is the feeling of total relaxation and even euphoria. I feel that is important in our stressful lives that we all live.
I would highly recommend Crossroads Community Acupuncture to anyone for any purpose, whether it is for pain relief or relief from stress.”
GLORIA: I came to Crossroads Community Acupuncture about 2 months ago on the advice of a relative who is also being treated there. I have suffered from Vertigo and Meneire’s disease for the past 2 years. In the past I have tried various forms of treatment, to no avail. I have been seeing Ryan for treatment twice a week now and my vertigo is 90% better. He has also treated me for neck pain and it too is much better. I go for treatments once a week now and enjoy the relaxation of the clinic and relief from my stress.
CAT: “My name is Cat and I suffer from fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis, and depression. For the past three and a half months I have been receiving acupuncture treatments at least once a week. I have found that the treatments help with my pain management, relieve my stress levels, and promote a general sense of well-being. It helps me to cope with the day-to-day physical and mental tensions that life throws at us.
I actually met my boyfriend out on the downtown mall during the farmer’s market, I had just had an acupuncture treatment, and his pick up line was: “Boy, I can see your energy.” Thanks for the positive energy, Ryan, I met my soulmate because of acupuncture!!”
RON: “I received my initial acupressure massage training in Canada, and my advanced training during my 13 years in East Asia. I have been a regular patient of Dr. Bemis since this summer for two specific ailments. I have found him to be precise and solid in his needle insertion. His systematic patient preparation process complements his caring manner to give his patients a sense of comfort and relaxation. I appreciate Dr. Bemis‘s interest in knowing my reaction to each treatment, which allows him to use a variety of needle placements to deal with each ailment. The simple, no-nonsense atmosphere of the clinic allows the patient to relax and focus on the body’s reaction to treatment with few distractions.”
CAROLINE: “I first came to Crossroads Acupuncture for grief and a vocal tremor which is called essential tremor. I had read about scalp acupuncture helping with the vocal tremor and wanted to try it to see if my voice would improve. I was told by many of my friends there was a difference in their ability to understand me after the treatments and that was my primary goal. I believe it is quite effective and has no side effects like many of the prescription drugs I have taken over the past few years. The second issue I had was that my husband who I dearly loved died last winter and I was grieving terribly. I found the ear acupuncture for grief to be quite helpful.
The reasonable price that Ryan offers is very helpful since I am retired and live on a fixed income. This is a major consideration. Had I gone to a regular acupuncturist I could not afford to go more than once every 5 to 6 weeks. With Ryan I can afford to go at least once a week. I like the calmness of the setting and I like being a part of the treatment and discussing what my needs are from week to week. I appreciate how friendly and approachable Ryan is as a treatment provider.”
